At REVIVAL Personal Training in Hammersmith, every six-week block of our Small Group Personal Training (SGPT) program is designed with purpose. Starting Monday 20th October, we’re bringing you a brand-new training phase focused on total-body strength, control, and balance — built around some of the most effective compound movements in strength training.


Whether your goal is to build muscle, improve performance, or simply move and feel better, this block has been engineered by our coaching team to deliver results.

This new block combines proven compound movements with smart accessory work to help you move, look, and perform at your best. Each week, you’ll be coached through technically demanding but highly rewarding lifts designed to build strength, power, and stability across your entire body.


Key Lifts in This Training Block

🟩 SUMO DEADLIFT

  • Builds total-body strength with a glute and adductor focus

  • Improves hip power and lower-body stability

  • Trains strong posture and grip under load

Why we love it: The sumo stance lets you move serious weight while targeting the inner thighs and glutes. It’s a powerhouse lift for developing strength from the ground up.


🟩 SEATED SHOULDER PRESS

  • Develops shoulder and triceps strength

  • Encourages core bracing and upright posture

  • Builds overhead pressing control and balance

Why it matters: A strong overhead press carries over to real-life performance and posture — helping you stand taller, lift better, and stay injury-free.


🟩 DEFICIT REVERSE LUNGE

  • Increases hip and knee stability through a full range

  • Builds unilateral leg strength and coordination

  • Enhances glute and hamstring activation

Why it’s in: Training through an extended range improves joint health and builds bulletproof lower-body control — ideal for runners, cyclists, and anyone chasing balanced leg strength.


🟩 PULL UP

  • Builds vertical pulling strength and lat development

  • Improves shoulder stability and grip power

  • Trains core and scapular control under bodyweight

Our approach: Whether using bands or adding weight, we scale pull-ups for all levels — with a focus on form, strength, and progress over time.

🟩 PARALLEL DIP

  • Strengthens chest, shoulders, and triceps

  • Builds pushing balance with bodyweight control

  • Supports upper-body muscle growth and endurance

The goal: Controlled depth, powerful press, and balanced shoulder loading — a staple in any strength program.


🟩 BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT

  • Develops single-leg power and stability

  • Balances strength between left and right sides

  • Drives glute and quad hypertrophy

What to expect: Expect the burn — and the results. Our coaches will refine your setup and tempo to ensure you get the most from every rep.


🟩 SINGLE ARM DUMBBELL ROW

  • Builds unilateral back and core strength

  • Improves scapular control and posture

  • Corrects imbalances in pulling strength

Why it’s essential: This movement teaches proper shoulder blade mechanics and builds a stronger back — key for posture and total-body performance.


🟩 SINGLE LEG BARBELL ROMANIAN DEADLIFT

  • Targets hamstrings and glutes through full range

  • Builds single-leg balance and posterior chain strength

  • Reinforces hip hinge mechanics and control

How we coach it: With close attention to alignment, tension, and tempo. The single-leg RDL is a technical challenge — but when mastered, it’s a game-changer for power, control, and mobility.
