FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Small Group Personal Training?

Small Group Personal Training (SGPT) combines the coaching quality of personal training with the energy of training alongside others. At REVIVAL, sessions are capped at small numbers so every member receives individual guidance on technique, progression, and training intensity. It’s ideal for people who want professional coaching but also enjoy the motivation of a group environment.

Is REVIVAL suitable for beginners?

Yes. Many members join REVIVAL with little or no previous strength training experience. Our coaches focus on teaching correct technique, building strength safely, and helping members progress at their own pace. Sessions are scalable, meaning exercises and loads can be adapted whether you are completely new to training or already experienced.

What types of training does REVIVAL offer?

REVIVAL offers several training options including Small Group Personal Training, one-to-one personal training, HYROX preparation, and strength and conditioning sessions. The gym operates across multiple railway arch studios in Hammersmith, providing dedicated spaces for coached group sessions and private personal training.

Where is REVIVAL Personal Training located?

REVIVAL Personal Training is based in Hammersmith, West London, close to Ravenscourt Park and easily accessible from Chiswick, Shepherds Bush, and Fulham. The gym operates out of converted railway arches, creating a unique strength and conditioning environment designed for serious training and professional coaching.

How is Small Group Personal Training different from a normal gym class?

Small Group Personal Training sits between one-to-one personal training and large fitness classes. Instead of 20–30 people following the same workout, sessions at REVIVAL are kept small so coaches can focus on technique, progressions, and individual performance. Members still benefit from the motivation and energy of training alongside others, while receiving far more coaching attention than in a typical class.

Do I need to be fit before joining REVIVAL?

No. Many people join REVIVAL to improve their fitness, strength, and confidence in the gym. Coaches adjust exercises, weights, and training intensity to suit each individual. Whether someone is returning to exercise after a long break or already trains regularly, sessions are designed so everyone can progress safely.

What results can I expect from training at REVIVAL?

Members typically experience improvements in strength, fitness, body composition, and overall confidence in training. Because sessions are coached and structured, members follow progressive training rather than random workouts. This often leads to more consistent progress than training alone in a traditional gym environment.

How often should I train each week?

For most people, training two to four times per week is ideal. This allows enough stimulus to build strength and fitness while still giving the body time to recover. Coaches at REVIVAL help members structure their training schedule based on their goals, experience level, and lifestyle.
