The Exercises

  1. Concept 2 Ski Erg: The Concept 2 Ski Erg is an excellent tool for building cardiovascular endurance and upper body strength. Participants will experience a skiing motion, engaging their arms, shoulders, and core in a full-body workout.

  2. Sled Push: The sled push is a powerful lower body exercise that targets the quads, hamstrings, and glutes. It also enhances overall strength and endurance, making it a key component of the HYROX challenge.

  3. Sled Pull: Complementing the sled push, the sled pull targets different muscle groups, focusing on the posterior chain. It challenges participants to use their entire body to move the sled efficiently.

  4. Burpee Broad Jump: Burpee broad jumps are a dynamic exercise that combines cardiovascular conditioning with explosive lower body movements. This exercise helps improve agility, power, and coordination.

  5. Concept 2 Row Erg: The Concept 2 Row Erg is a classic rowing machine that provides a low-impact, full-body workout. It enhances cardiovascular fitness while targeting muscles in the back, arms, and legs.

  6. Farmers Carry: The farmers carry is a functional strength exercise that works the grip, core, and lower body. Participants will carry weights in each hand, challenging their stability and overall strength.

  7. Walking Lunge: Walking lunges are an effective lower body exercise that targets the quads, hamstrings, and glutes. They also improve balance and flexibility.

  8. Wall Ball: Wall balls involve throwing a medicine ball against a wall and catching it on the rebound. This exercise works the entire body, including the legs, core, arms, and shoulders.

  9. Running: Running is a fundamental element of the HYROX challenge, adding an endurance component to the workout. Participants will experience various distances and intensities, keeping their cardiovascular system engaged.
