Starting Wednesday, 5th March, REVIVAL Personal Training in Hammersmith is introducing 60-minute ATHX-inspired classes designed to emulate the dynamic structure of the ATHX Games. These sessions are crafted to enhance your functional fitness through a comprehensive three-block format:
Strength Block: This initial segment focuses on building muscular strength. Participants will engage in compound movements such as shoulder-to-overhead presses and deadlifts, aiming to establish personal repetition maximums. This mirrors the Strength Zone of the ATHX Games, where athletes test their maximal lifting capacities.
Endurance Block: Following strength training, the class transitions into cardiovascular endurance activities. This may include running on treadmills, rowing, or cycling, with the objective of covering maximum distances within set time frames. This segment reflects the Endurance Zone of ATHX, challenging participants to sustain prolonged physical activity.
Metcon X Block: The final portion combines metabolic conditioning with high-intensity functional movements. Workouts may feature circuits incorporating exercises like burpees, kettlebell swings, and box jumps, designed to elevate heart rates and test overall fitness. This block is inspired by the Metcon X Zone of the ATHX Games, which assesses athletes' ability to perform varied movements under fatigue.
